Daniel A. Bever, Esq., is an Associate – Asset Management / Legal at Cohen Investment Group (CIG). He has a background in commercial real estate and transactional law.
Among his responsibilities, Mr. Bever reviews and analyzes CIG property performance in order to maximize investor returns. As a licensed attorney, he also provides CIG with internal legal counsel on property matters and documentation from acquisition to disposition, including entity formation, loans, contracts and other agreements.
Prior to joining CIG, Mr. Bever served as an Associate at Crenshaw, Ware, and Martin, PLC, where he specialized in real estate transactions and tax credit finance for projects throughout the Southeast. Prior to Crenshaw, Ware & Martin, he attended the University of Virginia School of Law, where he served on the managing board of the Virginia Tax Review, one of the premier specialty tax journals in the United States. Prior to law school, he worked in asset management and acquisitions with Lincoln Property Company, one of the largest property managers in the United States. His responsibilities included budgeting, capital project coordination, and presentations to investors for properties throughout the Southeast. In addition, many projects involved Lincoln Military Housing, a public-private venture between the Department of Defense and Lincoln Property Company and a leader in providing quality housing to military families.
Mr. Bever is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Virginia Bar Association, and the Virginia State Bar.
He received a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law and a B.A., summa cum laude, from the College of William and Mary.
